About

Alejandro Berrizbeitia

I am a Data Analyst at Kit and teach Time Series and Forecasting at IE University.

Across eighteen years in data, operations, finance, and sales, I have often needed to distinguish what happened from what caused it. That distinction guides how I approach an analysis.

I build forecasts using statistical and foundation models, study cause and effect through experiments and observational data, and check AI-generated analyses for accuracy and usefulness.

I share my work through intelligence-layer, a practical reference on forecasting, causal inference, and evaluating AI-generated analyses, and agent-skills, reusable AI skills for analytics workflows. I have also written for the IE University blog.

I have an MEng in Telecommunications from ETSETB-UPC (Barcelona School of Telecommunications Engineering, BarcelonaTech) and an MBA from the FIU College of Business (Florida International University). I am also a certified OKR Master (Betterworks). I speak English, Spanish, and French. FOSS-leaning. Perpetually reading.
